Rearranging the Scene

I set up the Nativity scene on the buffet in the dining room. Spence saw it and told me I had set it up wrong. It didn't look like the picture on the box. I think that was just an excuse for him to take them all out and play with them. I almost told him not to touch them, but then I decided it was OK.

Allie just looking adorable!

I tried to keep EmmyKate away from the nativity stuff, but then realized that it would help me teach her the story. She has even lost some baby Jesus', but it has brought great discussions.

Amanda,
I keep one in my kindergarten classroom and have learned to let them rearrange. We discuss that it is breakable and how to take care of it. They do very well. (I think I dropped about three pieces myself while I was showing them, so they saw what not to do. But it didn't break!) It is similar to Precious Moments but not very expensive. Your babies will learn so much from yours, too.
